We’re hiring part-time Pet Care Specialists to help us provide reliable, high-quality care to pets across Greater Houston.

What you’ll do:

• Provide dog walking & in-home pet sitting visits (30, 45, and 60-minute visits)
• Ensuring pets are safe, happy, and cared for while owners are away
• Follow all care instructions carefully with strong attention to detail
• Travel to client homes for scheduled visits and pet wedding attendant services
• Use our mobile app to check in/out of visits and submit clear, informative visit reports
• Care for pets of all sizes, breeds, and species (including dogs, cats, small animals, and poultry)
• Perform physical tasks such as dog walking, playtime, providing fresh water, cleaning pet areas, administering medications, and maintaining a tidy environment
• Complete light home care tasks such as bringing in mail, watering plants, and basic household upkeep
• Maintain The Golden Leash service standards

What we’re looking for:

You’re a great fit if you:

• Love animals and enjoy working independently
• Are reliable, detail-oriented, and professional
• Have a valid driver’s license + reliable vehicle
• Are comfortable driving between visits
• Have availability, especially midday (12–4 PM)
• Want supplemental income (not full-time hours)

This role is NOT a good fit if you:

• Are seeking full-time or guaranteed hours
• Have frequently changing or inconsistent availability
• Prefer indoor work or are not comfortable in Houston weather (heat, rain, etc.)
• Do not enjoy driving or spending time on the road between visits

Pay & perks:

• Paid training: $7.25/hr
• Starting pay: $12/hr (first 90 days) 
• Tips + bonuses (when applicable)
• All supplies provided (shirt, vest, leashes, etc.) 
• Flexible, independent work environment

Requirements:

• 18+ years old
• Pass federal background check
• Valid driver’s license + reliable personal vehicle
• Consistent availability: 12pm–4pm (required)
• Smartphone proficiency (iPhone or Android)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Important Details:

• This is a W-2 employee position (not independent contractor work) 
• Hours are based on client demand and are not guaranteed
• Ideal for those looking for flexible, part-time income
