We offer customized individual dog walks, in-your-home pet sitting, pet taxis, pet wedding attendant services, flexible cat & critter care, home care visits and coop care for chickens and ducks. Medication administration as needed and requested.

Our primary focus is dogs and cats, but we also enjoy caring for small pocket pets, parrots, chickens/ducks, fish tanks and bearded dragons. If you do not see your kind of pet listed, feel free to send us a message.
Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer overnight pet sitting visits.
No. We come to you! All pet care is done in the clients homes, that way your pet is in their home environment where they are most comfortable and are kept on a routine they are used to.
We have chosen to utilize a fantastic software booking system,
Time To Pet. Bonus, they have a client app in addition to a desktop version. With an account, you can manage your pets and all related info like veterinary and emergency contacts, feeding instructions, messaging, request services, pay invoices and so much more! You will receive visit updates after each walk/visit which will include GPS tracking, a time stamp, a brief summery of the walk/visit, pictures, and pertinent information to give you peace of mind while you're away. Your data will never be shared, as safety is a top priority to us.

We accept most debit/credit cards and ACH payments, through the Time To Pet software in the client portal section.
Daily dog walking: Payments are due within 7 days of receiving the invoice. There will be a $25.00 late fee applied if received after 7 days.
Pet sitting: Payments are due in-full by the first day of service.
All holiday payments are due a week in advance from the first service date.
All pet wedding attendant payments, are due at the time of booking.
No. Our meet and greets are completely complementary, for all first time meet and greets.
For the ease and comfort of your pets, we will come to your home to meet with you and your pets. We'll answer any questions you may have, and gather the important information about your pets, their routine and your home environment, as well as collect keys for the visits. We’ll also spend time letting you and your pets get to know us. Then, when it's time for services to begin your pet(s) will feel familiar with us and they’ll already have a new best friend.
Yes there is a 15 minute grace period window, for all services to begin. We have this in place, in the event there is an unexpected event (i.e inclement weather, being stopped by a train or heavy traffic) to cause a delay in arrival for your visits.

Due to being a solo business owner, all clients are required to have a backup of their own (i.e family, friend, neighbor, veterinarian or boarding facility) in the event of an emergency on our end.
We walk rain or shine, hot or cold. For rainy weather, we opt for a quick potty break and lots of inside playtime with cuddles. For hot and cold weather, we keep a close eye on the weather/temperatures and adjust our walks accordingly for the comfort of the pets and walkers.
No, because we care for the health and safety of your pets, we do not use retractable leashes. Instead we use a double leash method (regular clip leash and a slip leash). If you do not own a clip or slip leash, no need to worry we will come prepared.
Yes we do. Being a Certified Veterinary Assistant Level 1, I am skilled in administering medications. Our most common requests are for oral medications and insulin injections. If booking a dog walk or pet sitting visit that requires medication administration the fee is included.
If NO walk or pet sitting is needed, but you only require medicine administered there is a $20.00 charge. However, since all pets have unique needs we approach this on a case by case basis. Please contact us for information.
We require two copies of your house keys. One set is for the sitter to use at the time of visits, and the other is for the office to keep on file in case of an emergency. You will need to give the keys to your sitter at the meet and greet. For the security of you and your home, all keys are tagged using a codename. We do not put your name, address, or any other easily identifiable information on your keys.
If keys are not provided at the meet and greet, there is a $5.00 fee for key pickup before the first visit. There is also a $5.00 fee for each key return.
We ask that you provide the sitter access to your apartment community, as well as your building and apartment before services begin. We are happy to do key checkouts at the leasing office for visits if keys, electronic fobs or key cards are needed. Some clients prefer to give the sitter an electronic fob or gate card to hang onto for any future visits.
Pet sitting offers a host of benefits! Having worked in the pet industry for over a decade, it has been my personal experience that when pets are in their own home environment they are happier, calmer, have reduced stress levels, and are more comfortable. Pet sitting also allows your pets, to stay on a routine that they are comfortable with and used to.
We require 48 hours notice for all cancellations. You will not be charged for any services scheduled within this time frame.
If a cancellation notice occurs with less than 48 hours notice you will be charged 50% for any services scheduled.
If less than 24 hour notice is given for cancellations, you will be charged the full amount (100%) of the agreed upon rate for any services scheduled.
Holiday cancellations are non refundable, for services that are already booked.
If we are already in route to the visit or arrive at your house or we arrive and your pet is not there, you will still be charged for the visit.
Pet wedding attendant, cancellations by client: All services including the deposit are non-refundable.
Pet wedding attendant cancellations by The Golden Leash Dog Walking and Pet Sitting: In the unlikely event that The Golden Leash Dog Walking and Pet Sitting, must cancel services for a wedding, a full refund, excluding the deposit, will be provided.
All cancellations must be made via e-mail or via the Time To Pet client portal. Text messages are not accepted, for cancellations.
Additional fee's may apply to last minute/emergency visits. Please inquire when booking.
